I am writing to thank you for the fantastic close up magic you provided at our evening reception last week.

I have received only positive feedback from staff and clients along with a large number of 'how on earth did he get that ***** in the pot?' and there is no doubt in my mind that you provided the extra spark necessary for our event.

Philip performed a dazzling array of tricks as part of an evening of circus, cabaret and close up magic. His performance was dexterous, entertaining and downright baffling - amazing the audience with apparently impossible acts just inches before their eyes! He performed with an easy going rapport which only added to the spectators' sense of wonder. I would whole-heartedly recommend Philip for any occasion needing a stylish and engaging magician.

There was a time when Derren Brown used to work his voodoo on the diners of Byzantium. But Derren Brown buggered off to Channel 4 with his witchy ideas instead, leaving Byzantium a few aces short of a full deck.

So they're brought in a new magician, Philip Ringland, who does the kind of close up magic with cards that has fellow diners making all the right 'ooh' and 'ahh' noises before moving on to the next table, safe in the knowledge that he's managed to dictate the topic of conversation over dinner.

I try to faze him with some spectacularly crap shuffling which also involves dropping a good portion of the deck and momentarily managing to lose a couple of cards completely, but this man, it seems, is a true professional who isn't going to be distracted by a lack of dexterity bordering on the imbecilic.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for Saturday night, I had the most wonderful time - deep into the weekend festivities and we were still re-living the memories! I have spent time too with my two elastic bands and I even plucked up enough courage to show someone at work. They were really shocked, and impressed - but I have kept the secret to myself! Thanks once again for being part of my celebrations.
